This soft-furred princess wants to be where the people are. If you are looking for a little couch potato to snuggle with, Ariel is your girl. Despite being an Olympic gold-medalist in lap warming, Ariel remains humble and even a tiny bit shy at times. This beautiful girl is going to make anyone very happy.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

We’ve had Ariel for a few days now and wanted to pass on some findings about her!

Ariel’s absolute favorite place anywhere in the world is in a lap. She will cautiously get in and then is happy to snuggle as long as she possibly can. She loves being petted and once she warms up will roll all the way over to get her belly rubbed too.

She’s on the shy side, so takes a bit to warm up in new places and isn’t the biggest fan of traffic noises. But in the home she hardly makes a peep, mostly snuffling around with little pig grunts and we have twice heard her give little howls when she hears sirens (so cute!). She has been great left alone for a few hours, and will use a pee pad inside if we aren’t at home. Ariel is wonderful coworker if you’re working from home, content to stay curled up her bed in your office. She sleeps through the night great in her dog bed.

She has short little legs but she still moves excellently. She can go up a full flight of stairs, although she’s a bit slow at it still. She might be faster once she is comfortable in her surroundings. She is also able to get in and out of armchairs just fine, these are her favorite perches when a lap isn’t available.

Ariell had a great night showing off how confident she is getting on the leash!

Ariel has loved spending time out in our backyard where she can be unleashed. She would love a home with a backyard or porch of some kind where she can roam around freely and sniff the air. She was slow to get comfortable walking, all of the traffic noises seem to make her nervous. But after a few days she has been turning a corner and is able to walk several blocks to the park. She keeps up really well, although she does walk behind us for now. She’s interested in other dogs and people as they pass, but doesn’t bark even when other dogs bark at her. She likes getting some sniffs in, but isn’t distracted when she is actively moving.
