Ambrosia, former lead singer of a Cairn Terrier neo-soul group of the same name, comes to us in retirement, ready for a forever home. She’s still a standout in any crowd, all curls and curiosity, but her famous strut is more of swagger-waddle hybrid these days. It’s a swaddle, and it’s also famous. At Muttville. She’s up for daily walks, but a habit of stage diving in her youth means she going to need help with stairs. She loves people, other dogs and treats. Oh sweet Ambrosia is a charming, gentle soul who is the type of mature lady that likes to smell the roses and savor every moment. She enjoys short, slow walks, mealtimes, and long naps. She has an easy going nature and is very unbothered by things around her. We’ve encountered dogs (both big and small), garbage trucks and fire sirens, and nothing seems to faze her. She has the cutest waddle when she struts her stuff, but she is also content sitting in a stroller on walks.
She does okay when left alone. I have a gated area set up for her that I can monitor with a blink camera when I leave the house. She does wait at the gate for a little bit but then makes her way to her bed and mostly sleeps the entire time that I’m out. In fact, she is very quiet and I have yet to hear her bark or even whine. She is also very easy to handle and never makes a fuss when I pick her up, touch her face, etc. She truly is a sweetheart!
