No offense to Frenchies, but it is not often one refers to one as classy. Amaretto, a petite fawn looker with a velvet cravat of neck rolls, deserves the label. Very much at home among the dogs and humans of Muttville, he would not look out of place at Cannes with a tiny cashmere cardigan draped over his shoulders. A youthful senior, he is both attentive and polite and enjoys a daily stroll. Like his brothers of the breed, he also appreciates all the attention you can spare. And as suave as he looks, he’s still a bulldog. The odd snort, head butt or occasional lapse regarding personal space is inevitable. Do we love him all the more? I’m afraid so. And so will you.
