Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t! Almond Joy is far from anything nutty. She is incredibly level headed and friendly! This black and white Pomeranian superstar will shoot you in the heart every time she looks at you. You are sure to fall in love with Almond Joy each and every day you get to spend with her! Her underbite is everyone’s favorite attribute. How can you not smile as she gazes into your eyes and snuggles with your soul? AJ is such a sweetheart! She is so quiet and gentle. She’s very serene, and is content in her doggy bed or snuggling up next to you and just hanging out for a while. She’s house trained, and does not need to go very often (only ~2-3 times a day)! She has enjoyed short walks outside to do her business, but doesn’t seem keen on much exercise or long walks – 10-15 minutes at a time seems good for her. She takes her time and sniffs the flowers!
She’s good on leash and doesn’t pull, and doesn’t have scavenging tendencies, which makes her super easy. We’ve found that she absolutely LOVES anything chicken flavored – not so interested in treats like peanut butter or yogurt. She loves pets on her head and belly and once she warmed up, started giving us gentle nudges and small licks when she wanted some! She does totally fine when left alone at the house – she doesn’t seem to have separation anxiety. And she can handle stairs great! It took her a minute to get accustomed to ours, but she now handles them with ease.
Overall, she’s an extremely easy and chill dog. She would make a phenomenal companion for anyone, especially a less active household as she doesn’t need many or long walks. Go Almond Joy!
