If you happen to visit Muttville and catch a powder puff or snowball out of the corner of your eye, you might have been lucky enough to view Muttville’s latest super-soft senior, Aliki! This gentle and sweet 13-year-old poodle has a robust resume of going to senior centers and greeting, or let’s be honest, delighting the elderly folks lucky enough to get a visit. Aliki is also very polite with other mutts, but we’d assume such a cuddly little ball of fluff would be popular with other mutts looking for a snuggle buddy. Aliki is a superstar of sitting on the couch and a champion of snuggles, so if you are looking for a pup that will bring lots of cuddles and serenity to your come, Aliki is the mutt for you!

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Meet Aliki- Your Personal Zen Master!

Looking for a little calm in the chaos? Aliki is like a warm cup of tea, a soft cozy blanket, and your favorite therapist all rolled into one irresistibly fluffy, gentle soul. This 13-year-young sweetheart has a calming presence that instantly puts you at ease, just one snuggle with her, and you’ll feel the stress melt away.

Aliki is the ultimate cuddlebug. Her happy place is curled up in your lap, quietly reminding you that everything’s going to be okay. She’s incredibly sweet, mellow, and loves everyone she meets. I brought her to work and she charmed all my clients, soaking up pets, compliments, and attention like a pro.

Don’t let her age fool you! Aliki handles stairs with grace and can hop up onto the couch or bed for snuggle time with ease. On walks, she’s got the cutest little pep in her step, sometimes even a dainty prance, but overall, she’s a low-key homebody who lives for cozy moments and slow-paced days.

She gets along beautifully with my resident dog, mostly just doing her own thing (which he appreciates!). Potty-wise, she is doing so well, and we’ve gotten a good streak of no accidents. This morning she jumped off my bed and went straight to the door and politely waited for her morning walk, doing her business right when we got outside, and happily accepting her treats when she did so. She is a big fan of routine and positive reinforcement :)

She also is settling very nicely, getting less startled at new noises now that she has gotten more comfortable at my place and feels more secure. I think it also helps that she no longer has her cone, she HATED that thing :p she’s great with #2 outside and we’re working on syncing her schedule for #1- when she goes out right after waking up, she’s golden.

Aliki would thrive in a peaceful, quiet home with someone who appreciates the joy of stillness and soft companionship. She does startle a bit with loud noises, so a calm environment that mirrors her gentle energy is the perfect match.

Ready to add a little zen to your life? Aliki’s waiting with open paws and a heart full of love.
