No concert tickets required, just bring your heart and a comfy couch! Air Guitar is a pint-sized chihuahua who knows that the best stage is right next to you. With his soft coat and curious eyes, he’s eager to explore his new surroundings while still making time to request plenty of pets. Small enough to carry with ease, this little rock star is made for road trips, lap naps, and cozy evenings at home. He’ll happily strum his way into your life by wagging his tail and leaning in for snuggles. Want a partner who can jam to your favorite playlist or just keep you company on the sofa? Air Guitar is tuned perfectly for both. Don’t let this cutie play solo for too long.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Air Guitar is an absolute rock star of cuddles. His tummy is all yours for the rubbing. This sweet and fluffy boy really wants nothing more than to be near. He is not quite a lap dog—he’s happy to give you your space—but he likes to be in the same room, on the same bed or couch, or just on a soft rug snoozing or, hilariously, staring at the TV with you.
When he first arrived in our home he didn’t seem to be at all familiar with using doggie stairs or walking on a leash or even playing with toys. But he is bright and resilient, and he was up and down the doggie stairs in no time after being shown (and encouraged with a little cheese). And after a day or two he was always happy to go for walks and make excited curlicues around every tree in sniffing range.
He climbs up a full flight of stairs without any trouble, but although he can climb down 2 or 3 doggy steps, going down stairs continues to be too scary for him. He jumps up and off couches and stands on his hind legs to look at what might be on the coffee table, but when it comes to going down a flight of stairs, Mr. Guitar currently prefers to be carried. I do think he would learn to go down stairs with time, patience, and of course, cheese.
He is often shy when meeting new people but once he warms up he is a ball of fun. He LOVES other dogs; he is always curious and gentle and had never shown even a hint of aggression or reactivity, even when the other dog did. He’s still not into toys really—but he loves to play. He is adorably goofy with my wiggling fingers, jumping and zooming. He may be 8 but he has plenty of energy! He is calm and comfortable in the car, both on a lap and by himself in a seat.
And he doesn’t bark—almost at all. We’ve heard exactly one arf the entire time he’s lived with us, when he REALLY wanted me to play with him. And we have never seen any issues being left alone —he just quietly heads off to the couch to wait for you to return, and then is happy to see you when you do. He is really just the sweetest, most good-natured little cotton ball.
