Introducing Adam Driver, the Parson Russell Terrier mix with pointy ears that would make even Spock raise an eyebrow! With his handsome white fur, he’s a starship captain in the making, always interested in his surroundings and eager to be rewarded with treats. He was so good with other dogs at his previous shelter that he was used as a Padawan “helper dog” for small dog assessments. The Force is strong in Adam, and at home, he develops an intense devotion to his Jedi Master and favorite human, wanting them all to himself, so we recommend he be a solo dog. He can handle stairs and long walks all by himself, so no need for a droid to carry him around. Adam’s got the spirit of a Jedi, an abundance of love and loyalty, and the capacity to learn and expand his comfort level (with spare humans and potentially beyond) under the diligent guidance of his own Luke Skywalker.

Adam is a special boy and is learning to navigate a new life. Each day brings new small victories for Adam…potty training is coming along nicely! Adam will bond deeply with his person and is full of love and affection. With his soulful eyes and sweet kisses, you will easily fall under his spell…I sure did! Adam’s deep devotion comes with some challenges, as he will guard his person against anyone or anything that he perceives as a threat. He seemed to have a fear of men but we have been working diligently with him and he now sits with my husband, takes treats and goes for walks with him. I believe with patience and love, Adam can learn to work through his insecurities and live his best life.
