Activated, a rip-snorting Frenchie with the best of intentions, looks at life as a contact sport. It could be her championship run as the lone female linebacker on the Manteca Bulldogs, or just her special DNA. Either way, this caramel cannonball tends to plow her way into friendships with dogs and people, winning hearts and minds with a massive grin and unrelenting affection. She will sit still for a pet and a scritch, and tends to plant herself in the lap of any human she happens to (literally) run into. Meet Activated, though around her foster home she goes by Dottie. She is a compact, sturdy Frenchie who has mastered the art of being a full-time companion. Activated looks a bit like a tiny, beautiful gargoyle, complete with a permanent resting frowny face. But do not let the stern expression fool you. She is incredibly joyful, deeply affectionate, and wants nothing more than to melt into your lap until she is basically part of your clothes.
Living with Activated means embracing some very funny, very real senior dog habits. She is a loud snorer, so you will always have a baseline white noise machine running in whatever room she is in. She also has the classic Frenchie trait of letting out sudden, loud toots without a care in the world. She just keeps going about her day while you laugh at the absolute lack of discretion.
She has a few quirky physical habits that will make you smile every day. She sits directly on her bottom with her hind legs splayed out like a little human person. She also has a spectacular happy dance where her front paws do little tippy-tappies whenever she realizes a walk or a treat is happening.
Activated is spry and handles stairs like an absolute champion. She is so enthusiastic about them that her foster home uses stair pads just to make sure she does not slide down a bit too fast when she gets excited. She is an excellent car passenger who loves to sit up and watch the world pass by, and she is totally fine letting you clean her paws in the sink or with wipes after a muddy stroll. She is not a fussy eater at all.
For her ideal routine, Activated would thrive most with a work-from-home human. She forms tight bonds quickly and prefers to be your shadow, so having someone around during the day keeps her feeling secure. If you want a low-maintenance, deeply loving office assistant who will gladly sleep upside down next to your desk and keep you laughing, Activated is ready to fill the position.
