Mindfulness Skills for Animal Rescue Workers & Foster/Fospice Volunteers

led by Licensed Therapist Laura Goodspeed, MFT

Many who work or volunteer in animal rescue find comfort and stress relief through the use of food, alcohol or other compulsive/numbing behaviors that can have negative consequences in their lives. In this group, we will be guided through a mindfulness meditation, and learn additional mindfulness tools for moment-by-moment self care, stress reduction and increased self compassion. Multiple studies have demonstrated that mindfulness practices can provide numerous benefits to health and well being.

Muttville is pleased to be able to bring you regular discussion groups on topics to address the emotional needs of our volunteers and fosters. Our discussions are led by Licensed Therapist Laura Goodspeed, MFT, who volunteers her time and services. Thank you Dr. Laura!
