Bio:Looking for a calm and sweet companion? Sammy is an affectionate girl with lots of love and attention to give to her people. She is tolerant of other dogs, but not very interested in playing with them and would prefer the company of calm dogs, or would be perfectly content as your solo pet. Sammy is 10 years old and 45 pounds.
From her foster: Sammy is a sweet and lazy girl who would love to be your chill couch potato. She is content to spend most of her time chilling near, next to, or behind people, or on a comfy surface somewhere in the house. She’ll sometimes cuddle at your side or with her head on a lap or leg. Sometimes she’ll turn herself into a lumbar support pillow if she’s in the mood to burrow behind someone on the couch.
All in all, she’s an easy/great dog for a family that wants a chill, not-too-active pup. She knows some basic cues already like “sit”, “down”, and “paw”.
She has been fine around the kids she’s met so far, and doesn’t get phased by much (i.e. noise or lots of people in the home, or the vacuum cleaner).
She got to join her last foster family on a road trip to southern California, and she did GREAT on the car ride and visiting a family’s member’s house. What a good girl!
