a life-long puppy
When Jimmy arrived at the local shelter, he was covered in fleas and matted fur. No one knew if he could see or hear. I was a volunteer there and shaved him down – fleas were jumping all over us. Once we could see his eyes, we realized he had dense cataracts and was more or less blind. We knew that Jimmy had many years of a good life ahead of him, so we raised over $3000 for him to have cataract surgery. Once the surgery was completed – and Jimmy was clear-eyed and flea-free – he quickly showed himself to be the frisky, puppy-like fellow he is. He is now part of a wonderful family that loves him unconditionally.
